As explained by Disney’s Legends- Ollie Johnston and Frank Thomas in their book “The illusion of life”. The pair were part of the famous Disney core group of animators “Nine old men”. The book was published in 1981 and since then till now it is considered to be the “Bible” for animators. Animators of all levels are taught from the beginning to know these 12 principles of animation by heart and look to implement them into their work no matter the experience.
